Overview
JobTrackr Pro is a Chrome extension that helps users track job applications, capture details from supported job pages, compare resume text against job descriptions, and manage follow-ups.
This launch build requires email/password sign-in. Saved jobs, reminders, resume documents, and analysis data are tied to the signed-in account.
Data We Collect
JobTrackr Pro may collect the following categories of data when the related features are used.
- Website content from supported job pages, including role title, company, location, salary, job description, listing URL, and posting metadata when available.
- User-provided content, including saved jobs, notes, deadlines, follow-up dates, status history, recruiter details, resume documents, resume text, ATS analysis results, and coaching summaries.
- Account and authentication information used for sign-in and sync, such as email address, profile name, account ID, and session data.
- Settings and technical data, such as reminder preferences, draft capture data, recent job metadata, sync queue metadata, and limited operational diagnostics.
How Data Is Collected
- From content scripts on supported recruiting pages when job detection or page import features are used.
- From forms and controls inside the extension popup and workspace.
- From authentication and password-reset flows started by the user.
- From local extension storage and background tasks used for reminders, sync, and reliability.
How Data Is Used
- To save, organize, and display job applications.
- To import saved jobs from supported job pages.
- To provide reminders and follow-up workflows.
- To compare resume text against job descriptions and generate ATS-style analysis and coaching output.
- To export user data in JSON or CSV.
- To authenticate users and sync data across devices.
- To maintain service reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
JobTrackr Pro does not use personal or sensitive user data for advertising, creditworthiness decisions, data-broker activity, or unrelated profiling.
Where Data Is Stored
Extension data is stored locally on the user's device in Chrome extension storage. This may include saved jobs, settings, drafts, reminder state, resume documents, recent activity metadata, and local workspace state.
Because this build requires sign-in, JobTrackr Pro may also store data in Supabase-backed cloud services, including user profiles, cloud-synced jobs, resume documents, ATS analysis results, coaching summaries, and operational API logs used for diagnostics and service monitoring.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
JobTrackr Pro does not sell personal data.
- Supabase may be used for authentication, database storage, and cloud sync.
JobTrackr Pro does not share user data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics vendors for unrelated marketing use.
JobTrackr Pro does not permit routine human review of saved jobs, notes, or resume text. If human access is needed for a user-requested support case, a security or abuse investigation, or legal compliance, access is limited to authorized personnel.
Retention and Deletion
Local data remains on the user's device until the user edits or deletes it, clears the extension's storage, or removes the extension.
Cloud-synced data remains in connected services until the user deletes the relevant records or requests deletion through the published support contact. Some records may remain in backups or logs for a limited period where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or disaster recovery.
Operational logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for debugging, reliability, and security monitoring.
Security
JobTrackr Pro is designed to use secure transport such as HTTPS for network requests that involve user data.
The extension relies on Chrome extension storage protections, packaged extension code, authenticated service access, and backend access controls. The extension is designed to avoid downloading and executing remote code inside the extension package.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Users should avoid storing highly sensitive information in free-form notes unless they are comfortable doing so.
User Controls
Users can control their data in several ways:
- Disable auto-detection or reminders in Settings.
- Edit or delete saved jobs and resume documents.
- Export data in JSON or CSV.
- Sign out of the extension.
- Clear locally stored extension data from Chrome.
Chrome Web Store User Data Disclosure
JobTrackr Pro uses personal or sensitive user data only to provide or improve the job-tracking, capture, sync, reminder, resume-analysis, and account features described in its Chrome Web Store listing and user interface.
JobTrackr Pro does not use or transfer this data for personalized advertising, data brokerage, or other purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
Children's Privacy
JobTrackr Pro is intended for general adult job-search use and is not designed for or directed toward children.
